It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Griffiths (nee Peirce), who passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at the age of 80.

​Born on September 25, 1944, in Winnipeg, Donna was the beloved daughter of Hubert and Mary Peirce. She will be reunited with her parents, her husband Brian Griffiths, her brother Allan Peirce, her daughter Debbie Foley, and her grandson TJ Foley.

​Donna's life was a testament to her adventurous spirit and deep love for her family. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling and skiing and spent many memorable vacations in the Cayman Islands with her husband, Brian. She spent many years in the northern community of Thompson, Manitoba, where she worked for the City of Thompson until her retirement. She cherished her summers in Grand Marais, where she split her time between the Peirce cottage and the summer home she and Brian built together. In her later years, Donna moved to Selkirk, Manitoba, where she was a resident of the Betel Home Foundation until her passing.

​A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Donna's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her daughter Brenda Fayant (Mike); her brothers Ronald Peirce, Robert Peirce (Heather), Paul Peirce, and her sister Susan Holgate (Trevor); her grandchildren Dennis Foley (Robyn), Keith Fayant, Kyle Fayant, Kenton Fayant, Kristopher Fayant, and Kassandra Fayant; and her great-grandchildren Jordan Foley, Gavin Boe-Fayant, Lily Fayant, Reid Fayant, and Madelynne Fayant. Donna's love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was unwavering, and it was this love that motivated her to stay in Thompson for so long to be close to them.

​Services will take place on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with viewing one hour prior at Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk, Manitoba. Following the service, Donna will be laid to rest at Brookside Cemetery in Winnipeg, where she will be placed near her parents and family.
