Earl Blaine Favell

February 7th 1969 - January 22nd 2026

Peacefully with family by his side our brother Earl passed away at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre after a hard fought battle with cancer. He was fifty-six years old. He was born in Winnipeg, raised in Selkirk where he resided most of his life. He played hockey and baseball as a child and teenager. He was passionate about watching wrestling and movies, he also enjoyed playing cribbage at every opportunity with his brother Lyndon at the Army Navy and Royal Canadian Legion in Selkirk. He held numerous jobs but his most recent employment was at Black Cat Blades.

Earl was predeceased by his beloved parents, (Clara 1999) (William 2022). He is survived by his three sons Dominic and two granddaughters (Amara) (Anais), Dakota and Brady (Jessica). Two sisters, Guylaine (Floyd), Glenda (Sean) and three brothers, Clint (Kim), Faron and Lyndon (June). 

Numerous nieces and nephews, Dale (Jannelle) and her daughter Destinee (Chris), Duane, Steven (Lindsay), Holly (Curtis), Austin (Tyra), Jayde and Emma. Along with seven great-nieces and nephews. A Special Mention to his long-time best friend Mark Flynn and his second Mom Mrs. Mary-Ellen Flynn.

We would like to thank the medical staff at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre (MED 3) for their care and compassion.

A celebration of life will take place this Thursday, January 29th 2026 at 11:00 am at Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk Manitoba.
