Earl Klatt, self appointed mayor of Beaconia passed away peacefully on the morning of February 5th surrounded by love both near and far.
Earl was predeceased by his parents Adolf and Audrey, siblings Melford, David, Ralph, and Chrissy, and his daughter Lynette. He leaves behind his sisters Lorraine and Dorothy, brothers Lenny and William (Karen) and his children Verlin (Dianna), Norine, and Charlotte, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. He was looking forward to meeting another 5th generation grandchild in May. He also leaves to mourn many nephews, nieces, and many, many friends.
Earl was a proud Metis man who was loved by everyone who crossed his path. He was natural entertainer, successful trapper and commercial fisherman, and drove everything from a semi-truck to a limousine. He loved gathering with family and friends. Music, bocce, and dancing is what he loved to do most. Homemade wine was another passion of his, as he enjoyed making many different kinds. A party wasn’t a party without a bottle of Earl’s homemade wine.
Due to COVID restrictions a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Earl, rest in peace chum, we will always remember you as the man, the myth, the legend, until we meet again, we don’t say goodbye, we say so long.
