Peacefully on Monday, June 20, 2022, at the Beausejour Hospital in Manitoba, Eddy Kowalik aged 86 years, passed away, the morning after fathers day, but now begins the next adventure with his wife Allene of 53 years, who passed in 2017.

Eddy was predeceased by his wife Allene; sister Josie Sobetski; son Peter; and grandson Justin. Left to cherish his memory are son Richard (Wanda); daughters Marcy (Paul), and Crystal (Steve); grandchildren Anthony, and Jay; and sister Emily Kozera.

His parents were Mary and Max Kowalik, He was the youngest of 3 children. He was born September 2, 1935 in Brokenhead.  There are many people through Eddy’s life that also have been touched by his friendship and kindness. Eddy married Allene McKay on December 5, 1964, and the union resulted in four children Richard, Marcy, Peter and Crystal. Eddy and Allene enjoyed being together in all lives many moments. Eddy enjoyed farming and spending time with his family and friends. Eddy loved a great game of pool, and tinkering with his son Richard in the garage. Eddy loved spending time around the farm with his youngest daughter Crystal who was his shadow growing up. Eddy enjoyed watching football with his son-in-law Paul. Loved spending time watching his favourite tv shows with his daughter Marcy.

The family would like to express their utmost gratitude to the staff and management at Beausejour Hospital for their compassionate care of Eddy in the last month.

In keeping with his wishes a funeral service was held on Thursday, June 23rd at 10:30 am, at the Gilbart Funeral Home, 309 Eveline Street in Selkirk, Manitoba.

Eddy was laid to rest at St Andrews Cemetery at that time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beausejour Hospital for TV service.
