Obituary

Ed Appleyard

March 19, 1960 – April 9, 2025

With deep sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Ed. He is deeply missed by the love of his life Corinne, stepsons Lee & Jason, and step family Lynn, Kim, Ella & Isabelle, many family, friends & his cat Collette.

Ed was raised in Oak Point, MB.  He worked at a young age with his dad building winter roads in northern MB. His dream job was a heavy equipment operator. Ed retired after 38 ½ years with the R.M. of Rosser. His coworkers will miss him and his loving family Dean & Jackie, Terry & Aggie, Ken & Sheila, Jerry & Cindy. Ed was an avid hunter, fisherman, he loved fiddle music & jigging, listening to Clifford & coffee time. Ed was ever so proud of his cherished grandchildren: Quinn, Ella, & Isabelle. Grandpa Ed will be joining with Quinn in heaven. Rest in peace my darling…

Any donations can be made to Oak Point Community Hall.

Viewing will take place on Monday, April 21, 2025 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. The celebration of his life will take place on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Oak Point Community Hall, Oak Point, MB.
