Edward (EJ) Hamelin

Edward (EJ) Hamelin suddenly passed away January 9th, 2024 at the age of 49 with his family around him. He leaves behind his 3 children Keagan (Sierra), Ethan & Zoe (Cam). Ed is survived by his parents Anne & Ed Hamelin (Sr.), his two brothers Shawn & Tim (Jen) and nephew Josh. He is predeceased by his grandmothers  Agnes Hamelin and Mary Harman; and uncle Eric Harman. He also leaves his companion Heather, her two boys and family.

Ed was born in February 1974 in Winnipeg; he grew up in Selkirk and spent over 40 years in the Selkirk area. Ed worked and was known in the steel industry for many years and more recently has spent his time travelling and spending time with friends and family.

Ed had a passion for snowmobiles and had been riding since he was 9 years old. More recently Ed would always offer to take friends and family out for rides in the Interlake area. Ed loved being outdoors, he would spend his summers at the lake and enjoyed fishing.

Over the years he’s left behind so many memories that will live on throughout his friends and family, we will miss him.

We would like to thank the staff at the Health Sciences Center MICU for their help and comfort as well as our friends and family for the overwhelming support during this difficult time.
