Eleanor Morden
July 8,1945 - June 15, 2025
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother (Baba) Eleanor May Morden on June 15, 2025 in her care home residence (River Park Gardens) with her family by her side.
Eleanor was born and raised in East Selkirk as a third child to Kasper and Katherine Kaczmar, both predeceased.
Eleanor leaves behind her brother Jerry (Verna) and sister Elsie and many nieces and nephews.
Eleanor trained in Selkirk Mental Hospital as a nurse, this is where she met and married Bryan Earle Morden of Tyndall, Manitoba, predeceased August 17, 1995.
Eleanor and Bryan had two children, Tayler Ann Morden and Crystal Rae Power (Kevin) and 7 grandchildren, Natasha Flores, Bridget Morden, Jordan Power, Christopher McAlinden, Dylan McAlinden, Gavin Power, Rebecca Power and one lovely great grandchild Emma Julianna Flores.
Eleanor started her nursing career at Middlechurch care home and carried on her nursing career to the Manitoba Youth Centre where she retired, this gave her more time to do street ministry for the homeless and less fortunate.
It was at this time that Eleanor met Edward Miller while working at Love Lives Here ministries as volunteers, they became close and joined as partners.
Eleanor was predeceased by Edward Miller on March 16, 2025.
Eleanor had lots of friends and a few very special ones, these include Wendell Toews and Margaret McIntyre who visited and sang and prayed with her on her last days.
Eleanor will truly be missed by all.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB.
