Elizabeth Christine Praznik (nee Mitchell)
June 24, 1933 - June 3, 2021

It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother at Arborg Personal Care Home.  Beth leaves to mourn her 4 children, Randy (Stephanie), Kirk (Joanne), Greg (Karen) and Heather (Darcy), 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.  Remembering Beth are also brothers-in-law Gerry (Vivian), Rick (Janet) and many nieces and nephews.
Beth was predeceased by her husband Harold of 57 years, parents Allistar and Evelyn Mitchell, in-laws Harry and Ann Praznik, Larry and Elsie Sutton and nephew Travis.
Beth enjoyed volunteering for Duck’s Unlimited at Oak Hammock Marsh for many years. She was a talented seamstress able to make anything, including show costumes for Heather’s figure skating ice shows as well as the kids clothes and a few wedding dresses.  Beth and Harold enjoyed time at the cabin at Petersfield with family and friends. She enjoyed crafts and loved to create paper tole art which her children and grandchildren have hanging in their homes.  Beth dearly loved her children and all of her grandchildren.
Special thanks to the staff at Arborg Personal Care Home for their attentive care over the past 7 months, and to the Selkirk Home Care Nurses who provided care for Beth over 10 years.
Due to Covid restrictions, a private Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 16th, 2021 at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, Gonor, MB with Father Walter Dudych officiating.
