Florence Catherine Ward

Florence Ward passed away on June 12, 2018 after a lengthy stay at the Selkirk General Hospital. She was predeceased by her special friend Lawrence Trapp, parents Hugh and Jessie, brother Don Ward, niece Tannis Henry, and grand-niece Brittany Ward.

To cherish her memory, she leaves behind sisters Bernice (Dave) Henry, Darlene (Dale) Garnham, nieces and nephews Michael, Rick, Lawrie, Darren, Debbie and many truly wonderful friends.

Florence lived all her life in the Selkirk area, working on the family farm and later at the SMHC until she retired in 2000. She was generous and hospitable, and always made guests feel welcome. Coffee and a snack were on the table within minutes of a visitor’s arrival.

Special thanks to Dr. Zoppa and the nursing staff at SGH for their excellent care.

At her request, cremation has taken place. No formal service will be held.
