December 17, 1940 – June 6, 2025

Peacefully on June 6, 2025, Frank passed away with his son Rob by his side.

Frank was born in Sydney, NS to parents Roderick and Mary Black. In 1957, dad enlisted in the R.C.A.F. and saw the world from Egypt to Inuvik, NWT. During his time in the service, he married our mom Aurise Duguay, who passed in 1999. They had their kids in different provinces going from base to base, Steve in Montreal, Rob in Winnipeg, Scott in London, ON and Lisa in Edmonton. After retiring from the service, he moved the family to Selkirk where he started a second career in the Lord Selkirk School Division until finally retiring for good in 2005.

Frank was predeceased by wife Aurise, brothers Barney, Roddy, Joe and sister Carmel. Left to mourn are his brother Paul (Kay), sons Steve (Deanna), Rob (Jackie), Scott (Coral) and daughter Lisa (Danny) as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. The service will be livestreamed via the following link https://youtube.com/live/YyvWhj7lEcU
