Gail Marie Mund (nee Farmer)

Born November 16, 1957, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025  at the Gimli Hospital after a two year battle with cancer.

Born in Langenburg, Saskatchewan to Roy and Marie Farmer (nee Ness), she was raised in rural Saskatchewan where she met and married Charles Mund, her husband of 49 years. They had five children. Their second child, Christal passed away in infancy. They moved to Gimli where she worked at the Gimli Children's Centre, then opened a home daycare which she operated until 2023. She was also active in her local church as a youth leader and eventually, a pastor.

Gail is survived by her husband, Charles, their four children, Windelle (John), Charlton, Jordan (Cathryn), Rebecca (Adam), and their four grandchildren, Alethea (Payton), Marek, Calum, Nile, her mother Marie, and her brothers, Lorne (Elaine) and Lyle.

Gail will be remembered for her unwavering love and dedication to her children. She had the ability to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds, from her daycare children, who will remember her as Miss Gail, to the teenagers in her youth ministry, to her congregants at church. Her empathy, love for people and unwavering faith left a lasting impression on everyone who met her, and her companions will continue to inspire those who knew her. She loved to laugh and make others laugh and her hugs were the most effective remedy to melt away heartache.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff, especially the nurses and care aids, at the Gimli Hospital for their kindness and professional care.

A memorial will be held at a later date.
