George Michael Fedoruk
Peacefully and surrounded by his loving family, George passed away on September 10, 2023, at the Health Sciences Centre.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 57 years, Darlene, daughter, Stacey, son-in-law, Brian, grandsons, Sam and Jack, his sister, Vivian, her husband, Wayne, their daughter, Kim, and her partner, Serge, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Dad was born on February 17, 1944, and shortly moved to the family farm at Meadowdale where he resided until his passing.
For 55 years, George was a member of the United Association of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 254. His job took him to Gillam for three years and then he returned to the family farm in 1976.
Dad loved many activities. He played baseball for many years as well as curling and hockey. He loved fishing, hunting and the skeet shooting at the farm in preparation for hunting. He also loved a good game of cards.
George was also a long-standing member of Cloverdale United Church. He will be missed sitting in the front pew on Sundays.
Dad never met a stranger. Everyone was his friend. You never forgot George once you met him.
George’s pride and joy were his daughter Stacey, her husband Brian, and grandsons Sam and Jack. He was their biggest fan at their soccer, curling, basketball, and volleyball games. He loved their band concerts as well, happily tapping his feet to the music. They will miss him so much.
George lived a life well lived. It was full of good times, lots of friends, and wonderful memories. He will never be forgotten and always be in our hearts.
Rest easy Boysic.
