Gerald (Gerry) Edward Praznik
1941-2025
After a difficult battle with dementia and with his family by his side, Gerry passed away peacefully on January 17 at Rosewood Lodge.
Gerry was raised on the Praznik homestead, lived in St. Andrews his entire life and retired as a pressman for the Winnipeg Free Press after 38 years. He had a smile that lit up a room, could strike up a conversation with anyone and strived for perfection in everything he did.
Gerry was a loving father and grandfather who loved to spend time with his family, eat good food, play golf, baseball, hockey, and his weekly lottery ticket.
Gerry is survived by his beloved wife Vivian, sons Heath(Candy), Jody(Christine), Tobin(Ramey), granddaughters Avery(Cade) and Adynn, and brother Rick(Janet). He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Ann, siblings Harold and Elsie.
Special thanks to all the staff at Rosewood Lodge for the exceptional care and support.
As per Gerry’s wishes no service will be taking place.
Gerry may be gone but his genuine love of family will never be forgotten.
