Glen Joseph Helgason

November 21, 1955 – October 5, 2025

It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Glen Helgason, of Hnausa, MB on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the Arborg and Districts Health Centre.

Glen was born on November 21, 1955 in Arborg, MB, the only child of Gunnar and Rose Helgason. He grew up on the family farm working with his parents and then caring for them in later years. Predeceased by his parents, Glen leaves to mourn numerous relatives and friends, and three little “Snookems” as he would call them.

In his younger years, he started working as an electrician with Arthur Finnson, and later with Rick’s Electric where he completed his Journeyman electrician and remained there until his retirement. Glen was meticulous with his work and had a vast array of knowledge. A very caring and generous man, he had donated to countless charities over the years. He will forever be fondly remembered and sadly missed.

We would like to thank the Arborg Hospital staff for their kind and compassionate care. Donations in Glen’s memory can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family interment will be held at a later date.
