Helen Ference

Peacefully on May 16, 2023, Mom passed away at the age of 97 years.
Mom was born in St Boniface on April 18,1926 & after marrying Joseph in 1946, she moved to Selkirk where she lived in her own home for 74 years.
Mom moved to Red River Extendicare in 2022 where she resided for 10 months.
Mom was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1983, as well as parents William (1965) & Katherine (1982).
Mom will be sadly missed by her daughter Dianne & “favourite” son in law, Lorne, her son Raymond (Susan); grandchildren Jodie (Adam), Darryl & Bradley (Kristin); great grandchildren Peyton, Morgan & Easton, and special grand-dog Cash.
The family would like to thank the staff at Red River Place for their excellent care.
A very big thank you to all her “special” home care girls that cared for her while she was at home, allowing her to stay in her own home as long as she did, as well as to her great neighbours who were always there for her.
In accordance with Mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place & there will be no service. A small private family farewell will be held at a later date.
Donations may be made in Helen’s memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
