Helga Doris Halischuk

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Helga Halischuk, born on January 17, 1959, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026, at the age of 67, at Grace Hospital, with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, Erna and Gerry, and will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Ingrid, Edie (Dan), and Christa (Ken) and nieces and nephews. 

Helga was a devoted wife to Larry, a loving mother to her daughters Melissa (Albert) and Lindsay (Danny), and a proud and adoring grandmother to her three grandsons, Grayson, Linden, and Hunter. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them, especially the laughter and joy shared with her grandchildren.

She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—traveling to new places, playing cards with friends and family, strumming her guitar, tending to her flowers, and filling her home with the warmth and comfort of her baking. The lake was her sanctuary, a place where she felt most at peace and where countless cherished memories were made.

Helga will be remembered for her boundless kindness, her selfless spirit, and her unwavering devotion to those she loved. She always put others before herself, offering support, compassion, and a listening ear to anyone in need. As a friend, she was loyal and true, leaving a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Her legacy lives on in the love she gave so freely and the lives she touched so deeply. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
