Herbert John Recksiedler

On February 21st, 2026, just two days before his 76th birthday, Herb unexpectedly passed away at home where he lived with Mom, Dad, and Donna for most of his life. He will be missed by his sisters Bonny Toews and Donna Recksiedler, brothers Arther (Valerie) and Richard (Anna) Recksiedler, numerous nieces, nephews, great, great-great nieces and nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Jeanne & William Recksiedler, nephew Kyle, brothers-in-law Greg Swain and John Toews.

Most of his working life was at Grand Beach Provincial Park as a labourer, doing whatever was assigned to him. After retirement he became the primary caregiver for his aging parents and handicap sister. He was very kind-hearted and tried to help anyone who asked for his assistance. He will be missed.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk, Mb. The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed via the following link: https://youtube.com/live/4G-pgoj8cLw?feature=share
