Ingibjorg (Ingi) Doll-Sprowl

INGIBJORG GLADYS HELGA DOLL-SPROWL

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our Mom and Amma, Ingibjorg (Ingi) Doll-Sprowl, on August 7th, 2025.  Ingi was in her 87th year.

Ingi leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Laurene, son Kurt and grandchildren Haleigh and Kolton (Laurene). Predeceased by her parents, Gunnar Doll, Siguros (Rosa) Doll Jonnasson, and sister Sessilja Still.

Ingi was a loving and caring soul even through so many challenges in her life. She was ready and willing to give of herself to all that needed her.  We will miss her endearing love of adventure (from being locked in an outhouse in Italy to withstanding a hurricane in Cape Cod or trapsing through a haunted farm with her grandchildren!) and her love of anything lemon and Ice Cream! (it would call to her in the middle of the night)

Ingi grew up on Hecla Island and began her working career as a Psychiatric Nurse in Selkirk. She left Manitoba for Ontario when she married but returned years later. She then worked as a Recreation Therapist at Red River Place for over 20 years.  It is here that she lived out her last few years. We would like to thank her Care Team at Red River Place for her care when we could not be there.

In accordance to Mom’s wishes, there will be no funeral service, and she will be interned with her parents at a later date.
