Jack Christie

1931-2023

On November 12, 2023, Ludwig Jack Christie passed away from natural causes at the age of 92 at Tudor House Personal Care Home in Selkirk, Manitoba.

Jack is survived by his wife, Pat, and sons, Bradley, Andrew and Jason. He was predeceased by his parents, Stephen and Stella Kryschuk, and siblings Walter, Mildred, Tony, Frank and Kazmir.

Jack was born on a small farm in Narol, Manitoba on August 17, 1931 and later built a house with Pat just behind his parents' home on Henderson Highway where he raised his own family. He spent much of his career at CN Telecommunications on Pioneer Avenue in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He retired early from CN in 1987. In his earlier years, Jack enjoyed baseball, golf, leading a wolf cub scout troop, working around the house and had a small apiary as a self-taught beekeeper. Jack will always be remembered for his kindness and sense of humour.

No public service is planned with a small private service for immediate family to be held at a later date. The family asks that anyone wishing to commemorate Jack’s passing to please donate to the Alzheimer’s Society of Manitoba.
