It is with great sadness that the family of Jean Reykdal announces her peaceful passing on June 6th, 2025.

  She will be dearly missed by her children Bev (John), Calvin (Bev), Clayton (Laurie), Crystal (Lyndon), and Terina (Ken); grandchildren Krista (Dave), Karlie (Rod), Nathan (Rayne), Stephanie (Clayton), Christopher (Kimmie), Jordon (Mandy), Seth (Kate), Taylor (Colin), Meg (Kyle), Brooke (Dylan), and numerous great-grandchildren. 

  She is also survived by her brother Marlin Tarapaski; sister Wendy Gulewich and numerous nieces and nephews. 

  Mom was predeceased by her husband of 62 years Christopher Reykdal; daughter Sharon Noordman; son-in-law Jan Noordman; her parents Peter and Katherine Tarapaski; brother Lawrence Tarapaski, and sister Agnes Moore.

  Mom spent most of her life in Winnipeg Beach raising her 6 children and operating the motel “The Dew Drop Inn” which they built after relocating from Dryden, Ontario where they also owned and operated a clothing store.

  Mom enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, traveling, gardening, and with the big heart that she had, rescueing injured critters and looking after her family.

  Mom will be deeply missed and her memory treasured.

   Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the  Gimli Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Gimli, MB.
