It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joanne Clara Brown on June 23, 2025 at the age of 68.  She passed peacefully at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre, Selkirk, Manitoba.  She was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, on October 04, 1956.

Joanne will be sadly missed by her husband of 48 years, Richard Brown, and her children Krista Sain, Melissa (Bryan) Soutter and Julie Berg.  Joanne was a devoted grandmother to Brayden Sain, Rylee Sain, Liam Berg, Caleb Berg and Samantha Johnson. She is also survived by her mother Irene Smith, siblings Claude (Paula) Smith, Madeline (Ben) Underhill, Roxanne (Doug) Hemming and Michele (Rob) Johnson, in-laws Susan Fox, Paul (Denise) Brown, Jody Brown and many nieces and nephews.

 Joanne was predeceased by her father Dean Smith, brother Ricky Smith, father-in-law and mother-in-law Neill and Bernice Brown, brothers-in-law Steven Brown and David Fox.

 Joanne was a loving and dedicated daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother.  As described by her grandchildren, she was loving, funny, selfless, comforting, she made the best cookies, was always welcoming and always there for her loved ones.

 Joanne enjoyed doing crafts, baking, swimming, shopping, and spending time at their trailer at Spruce Sands RV Resort, which became known as her “Happy Place”.

 The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Cancer Care Manitoba, Dr. Roberts, Dr. Dean, Dr. Popovich, the staff at Cancer Care Selkirk, Selkirk Home Care, Palliative Care, and all the caregivers that helped Joanne over the last 2 years.

 By her request there will be no funeral service.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
