Julia Freeman Obituary

Julia Kimberley Freeman

August 29, 1960 – January 23, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, sister, aunt and friend, Julie, on Monday, January 23rd, 2023 at Selkirk General Hospital. She joins her parents Sylvia and Robert, brothers Bill and Chuck, and sister Karen in the next step of her journey. She leaves behind her daughter Krista (Michael), sisters Deb (Detlef), Helen and Bobbie, brothers Doug (Sherri), George (Laurie) and Reg, as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.

A very special thank you to her sister Deb for the caregiving provided to her in the last few months, as well as her niece Melody for making sure she was not alone in the hospital. The family would also like to thank Dr Alexander for his assistance with admittance to the hospital, as well as the Selkirk Hospital and Cancer Care staff for their care to both Julie and the family during this difficult time.

In accordance with her wishes, a funeral will not be held. Instead, a tea is scheduled for Saturday, February 11th, 2023 at the Selkirk Friendship Centre, between the hours of 1:00 and 4:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Cancer Care Manitoba in Julie's memory are greatly appreciated.
