Kevin Fedak Obituary

Kevin Wayne Fedak
November 9, 1971 - January 22, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Kevin, a loving husband ,dad, son, and brother.  Kevin was well loved and will be missed dearly by the love of his life Lee-Ann, fur babies Revie and Ghost; mother Nettie, father Metro, sister Debra, brother Mike (Jenn), mom-in-law Lorraine and aunt Adeline as well as his many cousins, aunts and uncles.
Kevin was predeceased by his grandparents Thomas and Eva Fedak and Mike and Mary Myketiuk.

Born in Winnipeg on November 9, 1971 Kevin was raised on Boyd Avenue and made the last 8 years of his life with Lee-Ann in Stonewall.

When he was younger, he would spend the weekends at the farm in Libau.   That is where he learned to ride his motocross bike and fell in love with machinery and all things fast. It was no surprise that his first car was a Mustang GT 5.0, though his biggest passion was his snowmobile.  To the delight of his mom, he would surprise her with a visit on his snowmobile.

Kevin’s working career started at Wakshinksy Bros. Ltd. working with his Dad for about 10 years to later getting his GED and becoming a real estate agent for Royal Lepage. With hard work and perseverance Kevin became a truck driver and finished his career at GeeTee Holdings.

Kevin loved sports from curling, motocross, golfing to cheering on the Jets and Blue Bombers.  In his youth he played hockey and went as far as to play for the Junior B, North Winnipeg Satellites.  While playing hockey he followed in his brother Mike’s footsteps and started to referee hockey at 13, where they made many memories working games together.

Kevin’s smile and laugh were infectious.  He loved his family and friends and loved to joke and tease them relentlessly. There weren’t many conversations with Kevin where he wasn’t trying to make you laugh.  He was always willing to lend a helping hand and worked long, hard hours to make sure the work got done.

At the age of 10 Kevin developed type 1 diabetes and lived his life battling the disease.   The past 9 years were especially tough on Kevin and his health, but he never let it get him down.

Kevin’s life story wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the love of his life Lee-Ann.   They met 8 years ago and when Kevin needed help Lee-Ann was there to take care of him.  Their friendship grew into something more during that time and they fell in love.  Together they made a home in Stonewall and seven years ago, welcomed their first fur-baby Revie.   Kevin loved animals and was so excited when they brought Revie home as an 8-week-old puppy.  They added to their family a year ago by taking in a kitten Ghost, found on the property.  This was Kevin’s happily ever after.

The Fedak family would like to thank Lee-Ann for loving and looking after Kevin and for making him happy through the good and the bad.  He loved you beyond measure.
