On August 9, 2019 Kimberly Valdez Easter Mercredi left us to go with our Creator.  She is survived by her husband Gerald Mercredi and four beautiful children Chelsay (Noah), Jasmine, Raymond, Baby Natasha, and stepsons Marcel and Dustin; mother Darlene Clarke; siblings Trevor, Terri (Ronnie), Crystal, Jade (Geoffrey), Eileen (Chris), Shane, Jesse, Terrill and Courtney (Bucky); Gerald's parents Dorthy and Marcel and
Gerald's siblings Wes (Eileen), Stan, Bradley (Barb), Evelyn and Stacey; many nieces and nephews and Chelsay's Nana Driedre Frost who Val loved deeply and had a special relationship with her, they spoke often. 
Val has a great love of her family and was always there for them; it was an invisible bond that could not be broken.  She adored her children and Gerald.  She had a very strong will and was an excellent caregiver to her children.  Her earthly pain and suffering is over and she is now in the arms of our Creator.  "Lead the way Vally Rose" love Mom
Viewing will take place on Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, Mb. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Little Britain United Church.
Her pallbearers will be Terrill Easter, Bucky Bear, Mitchell Clarke, Sidney Easter, David Irvine, Noah Kayseas, and Mark Asham.

Val's family would like to thank her doctors, nurses, paramedics and pharmacists , St. Boniface Hospital and Gilbart Funeral Home and everyone else for their kindness and support. It is greatly appreciated.
