It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Leonard Wabassons on December 17, 2024 at the Health Science Centre.

Leonard leaves behind to mourn his loving brother Chris, & family, Thomas & family, his loving partner Patti, Lamia, & Liam, and many loved other loved ones. Our dear Leonard passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, so it is with great appreciation that many of his loved ones have come together to help the family during the grieving process. We would like to thank the families for their support, donations, services, and contributions of our last minute planning. 

Leonard was born in Sioux Lookout, Ontario, and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was a guardian in the hearts of many, and a warrior as he battled many long-term illnesses. Unfortunately, he had succumbed to an unexpected illness and we are left with grieving hearts. 

A celebration of life will be held in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Salvation Army Barbara Mitchell Family Resource Centre, Final Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 23, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Gilbart Funeral Home, 309 Eveline St. Selkirk, Manitoba. There will be a reception to following after burial services at the Gilbart Funeral Home.
