Leslie Dean Morrisseau
December 14, 1971 – May 2, 2025
Unexpectedly but peacefully, Leslie passed into a world where he is now free from pain. He leaves to forever cherish his memory his beautiful little Rikkie who was the light of his life. He also leaves his mother Lillian Morrisseau, sisters Darlene (Jarvis), Gloria, Yvonne, Velma (Chuck) and Maureen and his special “Bro” Clint.
He also leaves Rikkie’s mother Kerri-Lynn Kooting, her sister Kay-lee Delorande (Jason and son Odin) and their mother Jackie who loved Les like a son. He leaves nieces and nephews all of whom he loved dearly.
Les was predeceased by his father Stanford Sr., brothers Stanford Jr. and Herman, his beloved auntie Helen and brothers-in-law Lornie, Monty and Big Joe (Dennis). Also to welcome him is his beautiful niece and BFF Leila and his nephews Justin, Duane and Walter.
A dedicated and hard worker Les worked in the construction industry that took him from Ontario to the Yukon and many places in between which allowed him to rent a limo from time to time just to take a ride! But Selkirk was always his home.
Les’ passion was hockey and was an avid fan of the Winnipeg Jets. He also got his daughter Rikkie into hockey so much so that she made him stand for O Canada! One of the last things he did for Rikkie was take her to the Jets final game of the season – box seats no less!
Les played hockey with the Selkirk Fisherman in his younger years and made many lifelong friends some of whom will take him on his last ride.
Active Pallbearers will be Selena Morrisseau, Kyle Mayo, Robbie Moore, Curtis Thomas, Kevin Kipling, Dennis Walker, Jeff Sanderson and Darien Barker.
