Leslie Peterson Obituary

Leslie Dean Michael Peterson

Born December 24th 1987 passed away peacefully at home on August 6th, 2020.

Leslie was predeceased by: Myrtle Johanson, Linda Johanson, Stanford Morrisseau, David Peterson, Barret Peterson & other friends and family.

He is survived by his sons Blaze and Tyrell, his mother Ange Peterson (Steve); fathers Terry Wowryk and Clinton Morrisseau (Isabel); brothers Dion Peterson (Brittany), Kaden Cembrowski; sisters Myrinda Peterson and Cally Morrisseau; his uncles Dean Peterson (Alison) and Trevor Peterson (Kim), cousin Ariana, great grandma Lillian Morrisseau, grandma Lucille Langlois (Papa Doug), numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Leslie was a family man who loved his sons Tyrell and Blaze more than anything in this world. He did his daily rounds with his friend Darren they religiously walked across town. Les visited his sons, their mom Darla, and his little buddy Grayson. He made many stops along the way visiting countless friends and family.

He loved and cherished his weekends with his boys always making sure he had extra munchies and snacks. Fuelled by love he could remember every detail of every little story that he kept near and dear to his heart. He had a passionate love for the arts, he couldn’t listen to music quietly. He loved to do his graffiti style tags even if it was just with his finger on a dusty surface, or a frosted window.

Leslie loved watching wrestling with his late Nan Myrtle, you couldn’t tell them it’s fake without getting an ear full. Leslie had all the wrestler action figures and knew all their moves. He enjoyed comic books and super heroes.

If you looked up the word loyalty in the dictionary, a picture of Les would be there.
You could ask him any time day or night for a helping hand with anything no matter the task he was there. Family and friends would often bring him lucky charms to make his day. He truly loved his cereal. Sometimes he acted like a tough guy and that’s where his nickname Painless came from. Some of us were lucky enough to know, he had a sensitive side. He would do anything for his elders, especially his auntie Karen Turkitch who he visited daily and looked after her dog Max. His companion Max passed away six days after Les.

Les is joining his late grandma Linda in the columbarium at St. Clements Cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearers: Daniel Cook, Zack Nelson, Darren Stevenson, Jonpaul Thomas, Linden Crate, Dean Peterson, Dion Peterson, Big Ja Jablonski, Dave Hebert, and Trevor Peterson.
