It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, Lillian Darlene Thordarson (nee Mowat) at the age of 76 at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, MB. Born on April 11, 1947, in Matheson Island, MB to Tom & Nora Mowat.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years Eggert Thordarson, her children Tom (Trish), Susan (Charles), Harvey and daughter in law Amber, her grandchildren Jamie (Sietta), Ty (Rowan), Shania, Cheyenne, Kaitlyn (Noah), Tanisha, and their father Les, and special great grandchildren Leyton, Bryden, Deacon, Everly, Corey, Charlotte, and soon to be great grandson on the way, her siblings Shirley (Geordie), Linda, Ernie “Hen”, and sister in law Sarah “Shadie”, her brothers in law Cyril (Shirley), Reg, Mel (Donna), her sister in law Adine, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved son Corey, her parents Tom & Nora Mowat, her in-laws Stephan & Myrtle Thordarson, her brothers Barney “Bun” and Stanley, , nephews Sheldon, Kevin, and Ernie, niece Karilynn, and great nephews CJ and Brent.

She most enjoyed spending time with her family whether it was for birthdays, dinners, reunions but she especially loved our gatherings out in Rubber Ducky. She had a wonderful sense of humour and an infectious laugh that she will be remembered by.

Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was so proud of them and always there to cheer them on in baseball, hockey and soccer.

A big thank you to everyone that took care of Mom at home and while she was in the hospital including Linda, Natalie, Kayla, Tori and Tamara, and Alyssa and thanks to everyone who was there for us this past difficult month.

Special thanks to St. Boniface Hospital staff for taking such good care of Mom and thanks to Peguis First Nation and Berens River First Nation for their support.
