Linda Kroeker (Simpson)
Linda Kroeker (Simpson) was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on April 21, 1951, and passed away peacefully at Selkirk Regional Health Centre surrounded by her loving partner, Patricia Woodward, and her daughter, Sarah Simpson-Yellowquill (Thomaz Owczarek).
Linda worked for many years in early childhood education before retiring, where she was known for her warmth, friendliness, and ability to connect easily with children and coworkers.
She loved gardening and had a true green thumb, finding joy in growing flowers, tomatoes, blueberries, and herbs, often with a cup of coffee nearby.
Linda was known for her big, bright eyes and her warm laugh. In the days leading up to her passing, she shared laughter with friends and family, surrounded by love. She now walks the spirit world, free and at peace.
She is survived by her siblings Bruce Dahl (Joanne), Judy Shirlaw (Tina), Sandy Wiesner, and David Wiesner. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved her deeply: Serena, Patrick, Brad, Karen, Cheryl, and Michael, as well as her great-nieces and great-nephews. She also leaves behind her two cherished puppies, Ella and Bubbles, who brought her so much comfort and joy.
She was predeceased by her beloved sisters, Dolores Simpson and Gloria Wiesner.
She will be greatly missed and remembered as a wonderful woman.
In accordance with Linda’s wishes, immediate cremation has taken place, and no funeral services will be held at this time.
