Linda Elaine Linklater Obituary

Linda Elaine Linklater

Linda passed away May 4, 2026. She was born on Dec. 1, 1961 in Selkirk, MB.

Predeceased by parents Russ and Elaine Linklater; survived by brother Gary.

Linda lived at home until her early 30's, then moving into a group home (Hearthstone) started by Linda's father and mother as well as Fred and Rita Wilkins. Linda enjoyed many years at Hearthstone with staff and roommates coming home for a few days a week visiting with family. Where Gary went Linda was beside him, going around town, shopping, paying bills, out to the farm, cutting grass, tot tilling, planting a garden, Linda was there lending a hand.

Linda bowled weekly with Special O and enjoyed being with the gang. Linda also liked kicking a ball around the yard hitting the badminton bird and quiet times somebody reading a book to her. Linda enjoyed many decades out at Lester Beach going in the water running on the sand bars with family at the beach. Linda liked the neighbors swing where Linda would take her pillow and head to the swing Jim Skinner gave Linda the swing, Linda also liked the treats Jim gave her when he came over to sit on the swing with her.

Special thank you to Helen Christianson for many years of dedication, care and kindness for Linda.

See you when I get there, Gary.

No formal funeral is planned donations in Linda's name maybe made to Cloverdale United Church.
