Linda Mostowy

Linda Christine Mostowy 

February 7, 1951 – November 20, 2024

  On Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre, Linda Christine Mostowy, aged 73 years, of Selkirk, MB, passed away.

  Linda was predeceased by her parents Michael & Margaret Mostowy, her sister Janis and brother-in-law Tracey Hall, her brother-in-law John Calverley and her sister-in-law Valerie Mostowy.

  Linda is survived by her son Mark (Beverley), her grandchildren Kelsey (Jaydee) and Lucas (Emma), brother Edwin (Peewee), sisters Diane Calverley and Donna (Denise) and her many nieces and nephews. She is also survived and remembered by many close friends that she made over the years - friendships that were very special to her. Linda was born and raised in Selkirk.

  Through pure determination she was able to obtain her Licensed Practical Nurse diploma. She decided to move to Saskatchewan for 20 years, where in the midst of other interests she obtained her Registered Massage Therapy Degree before moving back to Selkirk to be closer to friends and family. Linda worked and retired from Selkirk Mental Health Centre. She enjoyed baking for others, playing cards with her friends and going to the casino with friends and family. Linda also loved to travel whether it was domestic or internationally - unfortunately her health started to fail over time - she was diagnosed with kidney failure and required dialysis treatment. Although she did not travel abroad after this and other health diagnoses, she still enjoyed reliving the trips she did experience over the years with friends and family.

  We would like to thank the staff at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre for the care they provided my mom as a dialysis outpatient and when she passed.

  As per Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
