It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Lorraine Diane Crowter who passed away on June 6th, 2026, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Lorraine was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, May 14th, 1952.  Lorraine was predeceased by her father, Hank and mother Virginia, and sister, Heather.  Surviving family members include sisters, Francis (Okotoks, Alta), Marie (Swift Current), and brother Sheldon (Calgary). Also, husband Tom (Selkirk, Mb.), daughter Tara and son-in-law, Keith Zalischuk (St. Andrews, Mb), son, Craig and Courtney (Winnipeg), grandchildren, Kayla, Jenna, Caden, Ava, Ben and a great grandson, Jameson.

Lorraine graduated from high school and then attended Robertson Business College in Saskatoon, Sask. She and Tom were married September 4th, 1971 in Swift Current, Sask. They have lived in Cornerbrook, Nfld., Gladstone, Sundance, Steinbach, Dauphin, and Winnipeg. Lorraine’s final care was at the Middlechurch Senior’s Care Home in Middlechurch, Mb. Tom moved to Selkirk.

A celebration of life service for family and close friends will be held at Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, on Thursday, June 18 at 2:00 p.m. 

Her love, passion, caring, sharing, support to all, her sense of humour, and her love of friendships will be dearly missed.  You will always be “The Rock and Foundation” of our close family.
