Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Lucille Bauer.

She was an amazing person and teacher. She taught multiple subjects (mostly French, Music and History) in both the River East and Seven Oaks School Division. It was in 1973, at River East, where she met her husband Jim and a few months later in 1974 they married and started their adventure.

First they camped in their pop up trailer all over Canada and U.S. with their children Chris and Jeanette, and now they do the same thing. Then after retirement, they travelled the world to many places Lucy taught in history and visited all the continents and over 60 countries. They alternated winter snow birding going to Arizona and Mexico and met so many wonderful people along the way. Lucy was an amazing sport as on most of those travels after camping, she had to have her trusty wheelchair, but she was always game to go. What a life she had.

Besides her children, she is survived by grand children Roman, Jewel, Peyton, and Riley plus one great grand child Koah, plus many siblings, cousins, etc.

We would like to thank all those who looked after her near the end. Cremation has already taken place and the family will have a private celebration of her life.
