It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Lucy who was surrounded by the love of her family. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph (2001), her beloved sons Gordon (2013) and Dennis (2019) and siblings Joe, Kay, Mary, Ann, Tony, Margaret, Magdelene and Edward. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children Marilyn, Richard, Gerri, Don, Jason and their spouses; grandchildren Sheri, Darryl, Trevor, Kelly, Kyle, Corrie, Chad, Jennifer, Dustin, Karmyn and their spouses; great-grandchildren Tyler, Samantha, Dorian, Riley, Logan, Devereaux, Grayson, Meadow, Indy, Brody, Blake, Chloe, Rylan, Kayden, Airlea, Sloane and MacKenzie. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews (as the last Auntie in both families) and by her dear friend Rosie.
Lucy will be fondly remembered for her warmth , her kindness and her keen sense of humour. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her and will live on through her treasured children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who all brought her immense joy and pride. She was our matriarch with an unmatched devotion to her family. Her hospitality and love to entertain were legendary- the more the merrier at all times. We cherish the memories of all the family gatherings, both big and small , and all the great foods she created for us to consume over many years. Lucy’s other passions included gardening, knitting, card playing, and journaling.
Lucy was a devout Catholic and proud member of The Catholic Women’s League for 65 years.
