Lynda Plunkett (nee Johnson)
It is with sadness the family of Lynda Plunkett, wishes to announce her unexpected passing on March 11, 2021.
She was born on August 8, 1948 in England. She was 8 when the family immigrated to Canada.
She is survived by her daughter Angela (Tony) and son Jamie; granddaughters Val and Fae and grandson Connor; also survived by her two sisters Lesly and Kathy; nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Lynda loved to cook, bake and crochet. She loved to bowl and play Bingo. She helped to organize and run the Thursday Senior’s Bowling League. She volunteered in the community and helped to deliver Meals on Wheels on a regular basis. Lynda loved to travel. She loved the mystery tours the most. It was basically take your passport and pack some clothes and then we will see where we were going.
There will be no service at this time because of Covid. When the time is right we will have a celebration of her life.
If anyone wishes to do so, they can make a donation to the Scattering Garden at Selkirk United Church.
Many thanks to all the friends and family who have supported us at this difficult time.
