November 21, 1955 – May 24, 2022

It is with sadness and sorrowful heartbreak that we announce the peaceful passing of Lynn May Whiteway, wife, sister, sister-in-law, and aunt at Riverview Palliative Health Centre.

Lynn is survived by husband of 23 years Myles B. Johnson; sisters Peggy, Freda, Lorraine (Bill), Kathy (Percy), Gail (Miles), Denise (Orville), Sherry; brothers Bert (Wendy), Wayne (Bernice), Kelly (Marlene); nieces, nephews and friends.

Lynn was predeceased by her parents William and Marie Whiteway; her sister Penny; brothers William, Billy; brothers-in-law Doug and Mike.

Lynn was raised on Matheson Island where she had great pride and love of the island. She was a great sister and an amazing friend, she was compassionate and could remember everyone’s names and events. One of her greatest joys was raising Matthew and Lorianne and she spoke of that time with love. Her smile was contagious and her love of her family and friends was second to none. Lynn’s battle with cancer was fought very hard by her, as she wanted to spend more time with Myles and their coffee dates.

Viewing will be held on Monday, May 30, 2022 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB.
