Mark was born in Selkirk, Manitoba on March 26, 1965. He attended school in Selkirk and started working at the Selkirk Mental Health Center. Mark later worked at AMSCO, and for the past 21 years worked at TC Industries.
Mark was such a special, outgoing man and would do anything for you. He had a great character that everyone loved. Mark would talk endlessly about the times he spent working at Lake Manitoba Narrows during the summers. Growing up Mark played hockey and enjoyed long day trips on his snowmobile. He started noticing that shortly after buying a skidoo, the amount of snow decreased each winter. So he sold the skidoo and bought a quad. Funny thing though – that next winter produced a lot of snow. Mark loved the outdoors and treasured the times he had with his family at Tall Timber Lodge. He liked going to Sundown to spend time with friends.
Mark enjoyed socializing with his many friends through the weekends. It was during this time that Mark found the love of his life Lynda.
Mark and Lynda married on June 5, 1999. In August 2001, his treasure Jordan Mark was born and later in August 2004 Daddy’s little girl Janna Lynn arrived. Mark’s love for his wife and children was immense and evident in everything he did. He loved watching Jordan excel in various sports and treasured going to see the many hockey games and tournaments. He was proud to watch his little Janna develop her many skills at school, sports and find her amazing love for dance. In 2017 Mark got another love of his life his yellow lab Sadie, who will forever be called his “Girlfriend”.
Mark was happiest when doing things with his family at home. He loved the yearly family trips to Hecla. He instilled his love for the outdoors with Lynda, Jordan and Janna by biking, hiking and watching the sunset in the backyard. In the winter months Mark and the family would build forts out of the snow and drink hot chocolate.
Mark’s love for his family showed when in early 2022 he was diagnosed with a stroke and pancreatic cancer. Mark endured the pain so he could make more memories at home with Lynda, Jordan, Janna and extended family.
Mark you are the most courageous, amazing man and we love and miss you so much. We know God wanted you to be our Guardian Angel from Heaven above and you will always be our Hero. We love you always and forever.

Mark, you made our world a better place by your amazing character and love for others. You are loved by everyone and will be sadly missed forever.
Please don’t cry, I am with you always surrounding you with my love
Watch for me
I will be right beside you when you are feeling sad and lonely
I will be the bald eagle flying above, the beautiful sunsets, shooting stars, the fox that walks about and the sweet songs of the birds above
Look and you will find me
I will have no pain
But love and protect you from Heaven above
Yes, you will miss me always, but treasure our memories
until we meet again
I will greet you in Heaven at that time
To live with you there forever
-Written with love by Lynda
