Glen “Michael” Burzuik
July 16th, 1958 – October 15th, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our father, brother, and uncle, Mike, aged 67 years, at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre (SRHC). By his side, surrounding him with love to his final breath, were his precious children and his siblings.
Mike will be forever missed by his sons John and Mason, and his daughter Molly, his brother Garry (Lorrie), sisters Sandra and Joan, as well as many nieces, nephews, family, extended family, friends, and his little pup Maggie.
He was predeceased by his parents Norman and Betty Burzuik, brother Doug Burzuik, Stepdad Walter Lee, and brother-in-law Bill Beaton.
Mike was a “car guy” from a very young age, learning the auto body man trade from his Dad, in the garage at home. Then in his early teens, he began work at the South Main Autobody, with his parents until they retired. After the shop was sold, Mike went on to work at MPI as an estimator for many years, a job that had him travelling all over Manitoba at times, until his retirement.
Mike’s passion was drag racing. He enjoyed everything about it: his weekends at the track, working on the cars with Garry and his nephews, and meeting new and old friends.
His greatest joy was his children. He loved each of them deeply from the moment John, Mason, and Molly were born. The time he had with his kids was treasured beyond words.
We will forever remember our father, brother, and uncle, for his sense of humour, his laughter, and his kindness, cherishing the memories of the good and happy times we had with Mike.
A special thank you to the Medical and Emergency Departments at the SRHC for your care and support of Mike, and our family.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of is life will take place on Friday, October 24th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m, in the St. Clement’s Cemetery.
