Obituary

Myrna Gail Unik (nee Kazuk)

January 15, 1941 – October 4, 2022

Peacefully, after a brief illness at age 81 years, Myrna slipped quietly into the arms of Jesus.

Left to mourn her passing are sons Robert (Maureen), Ron (Cheryl), and grandchildren Caitlin, Jeremy, and Jadin; sister Bev Grobb (Rick), and brother John Kazuk (Lorna), and sister-in-law Bridget Kazuk. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Predeceased by parents John and Ivy Kazuk, husband Danny, brother Jim Kazuk, brother-in-law Jack Grobb, and special friend Al Zembik.

Moms’ greatest pleasures were spending time with family and friends, cooking her famous cabbage rolls, and of course her love for gardening which she called “playing in the mud”.

While we are saddened at her passing, there is joy in knowing that it is not goodbye and that we will meet again.

Memorial service to celebrate her life, will be held Saturday, October 8th, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Selkirk Community Church.

In lieu of flowers, mom has gratefully requested donations be made to a charity of your choice.

Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Selkirk Regional Health Centre.

Rest in peace mom, we all love and miss you.

Condolences may be left on her tribute wall at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
