Myrtle Gorda
1947-2026
On Monday, January 5, 2026 at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre, with her granddaughter Amber holding her hand, Myrtle Gorda passed away. Reunited with her husband of more than 53 years, Nick Gord (2017).
She leaves behind 2 sisters Marlene and Muriel; daughter Marge; sons Allan and Alton; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Special thanks to her friend Linda Gifford, who was always there to help her when needed.
In keeping with mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held at this time. An outdoor celebration of her life will take place in the summer.
