It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and tragic loss of Naomi Juliette Jenna Nicholas (Folster) Blue Thunderbird Woman on August 15, 2023.

She is survived by her children Brandon, Nicholas, Chance, Jared, Helena, and Ileana and their father Daniel, mother Naomi Folster, father Basil Nicholas, grandfather Stewart Folster (Terry), brothers Erin, Michael (Jamee) and Jonah (Isabelle), sisters Ashley, Tanisha, Tashina, Tianna, and Tia, aunties Lisa (Kevin), Stacey (Claudia), Andrea (Jae), uncles Christopher, Jeffrey, and Colin (Leanne), nieces Lila, Emilia, nephew Nathaniel, also numerous great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and friends.

Naomi was a devoted mother. Her children were all that ever mattered to her, they were her world. She was known for her stunning beauty with her dimples and breathtaking smile. Naomi had a genuine laugh that made you join in with her. She was free-spirited, loving, generous, and had a compassionate spirit. She did her very best to help those who were going through difficult times. Anyone who encountered her was made to feel like family by her. Naomi was raised by a single mother, who grew with her and discovered their strengths and capabilities together. She loved her brothers deeply and helped raise them.

She worked as an Indian Registration Administrator for BON for several years. When she was a member of the Brokenhead Ojibway First Nation Council; she was proud to serve her community and went above and beyond to help her community members.

Wake will begin on Thursday, August 24 at 4:00 p.m. in the Private Tom Chief Memorial Hall.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 25 at 2:00 p.m. in the Private Tom Chief Memorial Hall.
