Dad was born on the family farm in Foxwarren, Manitoba – the third of 4 children. He was known as Cam, Norm, Dad & Papa.
He began his working career hauling grain, working in a garage and driving a school bus but quickly transitioned to the world of banking. Dad started his career at the Royal Bank in Binscarth, Manitoba, eventually relocating to Winnipeg, Brandon, and finally Selkirk where he retired in 1988.
It was in Binscarth,MB that he met his wife, Annette, and they married in 1960. They built their home on Grain Ave in Selkirk in 1972 and remained there for 51 years.
Dad was very active in the Selkirk United Church, Chamber of Commerce, and the Lions Club. He was happiest when spending time with family & friends be it hunting, travelling, visiting or hosting dinner parties. Dad also had a passion for gardening – he especially loved to grow raspberries & rhubarb and had a particular obsession for growing tomatoes.
He will be truly missed by his son Chris (Dayna), daughter Pam, grandchildren Emma & Noah, sister Nora, brother Bob (Hazel), sister-in-law Donna, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Annette, sister Margaret, brothers-in-law Jack, Lorne & Robert, and son-in-law David.
