Patrick (Pat) Lee Obituary

Patrick (Pat) Miles Lee

 July 20th, 1957 – January 28th, 2023

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandpa, and friend. Peacefully but unexpected at the age of 65 with loved ones by his side he was cocooned and given his wings to fly in heaven. He is survived by his wife Lynn (Gyurek), his daughters Jenna (Cory) Vanlandegham, Kelsey (Mark) Groom, Christa Lee (Skylur), his grandchildren Hailey, Declan, Mason; sister Michal Lee and sister-in-law Annette Lee; as well as his mother-in-law Frances Gyurek, sisters-in-law Wendy Taylor, Sharon (Clayton) Thom, Sheila (Jimmy) Unique, Brenda (Gary Colibaba) Gyurek , his brother-in-law Mark (Carla) Gyurek. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Vernon Levesque and his brother Markum Lee.

Patrick did most of his growing up in Victoria Beach, Manitoba among his many family and friends. His mother took Pat and his siblings to live on many Manitoba reserves as his mother was a schoolteacher.

He eventually made his way to Regina where he met his wife Lynn and started a family. They had 3 beautiful daughters. Pat and Lynn made their home in Pense, Saskatchewan in the late 80’s where they raised their family.

Pat started his career with QSI Interiors at a very young age. He brought his family to Winnipeg in 2000 to continue his career building his empire with QSI Interiors and leading the Wall and Ceiling industry to new heights. He retired in 2016.

Upon retiring he spent his days at Hillside Beach with his family and friends. He was an active member of the Victoria Beach/Hillside community either volunteering his time, keeping up with family, friends and participating in Community interests.

Pat could be found at the nearest golf course, fishing the waves, or curling at the nearest community center. He had a great interest in classic car restoration and car shows.

Patrick Lee was an exceptional man who loved his family and all of those he met. He was the most selfless most caring human being with a big heart. He was humble and kind. He was a hero and a mentor to many. Everywhere Pat went he left a piece of himself and touched hearts all around the globe.

A service will be held to celebrate Patrick’s life on Saturday, February 11th, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Gilbart Funeral Home, 309 Eveline St, Selkirk, MB.
