Obituary

Paul Ernest Nagle

Dec. 16, 1951-Sept. 30, 2025

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather.

Paul Nagle passed away Sept. 30, 2025, after a long battle with cancer at the age of 73.  Paul is predeceased by his parents Norman & Pamela.  Survived by his wife Beddie of 50+ years, his son Geoffrey & his wife Shelley & grandchildren Abbey & Isabel, his stepmother Darlene, his brother Geoff & his wife Shirley & children, his sister Margret & her husband Wayne & children, his sister Patricia & her husband Robert & children, his sister Wendy & her husband Daniel, his stepbrother John & his wife Susan & children, pre-deceased by brother in law Norman & partner Barb, pre-deceased sister in law Dee Dee, her husband Vince & children, his sister in law Monchuck & her partner Del, her son & his wife & children, his sister in law Wanda & her husband Stan & children, his sister in law Doe Doe & her husband Bill & children, good friends Clint & his wife Judy, his buddy from sailing Chris, his neighbours across the street Chris & Christine, his life long friends Fred & Suzana, his pre-deceased long time friends Roy & his wife Diana, his beach friends Kevin & his wife Sandra, beach friends Jess & his wife, VB transport drivers, & his previous co-worker & great friend Patrick.

Paul loved his sports, especially sailing at Victoria Beach Yacht Club, at which, he became an honorary lifetime member.   He enjoyed playing a round or two of golf with his father & friends, he was passionate about music & loved playing guitar & jamming with his son.  He was considered a whiz in the electronics world & a bit of a handyman in repairing almost anything.  He had an interest in travel & going together with his wife on cruise ships.  He liked to spend time entertaining the company of friends with wine & food.  He became a great gardener at home & neighbour’s yards, they called him ‘the grass whisperer’, always keeping the yard immaculate & raking the driveway.  He loved animals & nature at the lake & had an appreciation of his wife’s home cooked gourmet meals.

Paul started out as a salesman in electronics, eventually owning his own business for a while.  Afterwards he spent a few years as a car salesman & in his later years, becoming a financial advisor.  Towards the end of his life he kept himself busy in projects with his friend Clint, fixing & repairing things at both of their places in Victoria Beach.

We would like to thank the nursing staff at Selkirk Regional Health Centre for their care & consideration while he was in the hospital.

A family & friends gathering ‘celebration of life’ will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, we request donations be made to East Beaches Animal Services.
