Pauline Lomax Obituary

Pauline Lomax

Peacefully, on July 22, 2020, with family at her side, Pauline went home after a courageous battle with Cancer.

Pauline was the most devoted and proud mother. She leaves behind her beloved children, Ryan (Ashley) and Lindsay. More than anything else in life, Nana cherished her grandbabies Nevin, Isabella, Greyson, Adelynne, and Kate and Amy (Doudiet).

“Paul” will also be greatly missed by her sister and best friend, Carole (Davey, Kris, Jessie, Ethan and Nikolas).

“P” had many dear friends whom she also considered her family. They helped create the many stories of her fun and adventurous life and also supported her through the journey of her illness. Special thanks to Marlene, Janice and Darlene for being there unconditionally.

Pauline, daughter of Benjamin and Molly, was born on April 17, 1946 in County Durham, Northern England; later immigrating to Winnipeg at the age of 18. Dedicated and amazing with numbers, Pauline worked as a bookkeeper and controller for many great employers, some of whom became lifelong friends including; MTS, Eurocars (Fab), several restaurants operated by Heinz and Joanna Kattenfeld, Banville and Jones, and (Joe) Laufman Reprographics.

Later in life, Pauline discovered a passion for travel. Highlights included many trips back home to England, touring Italy, Greece, Spain, and a Viking river cruise, At the top of the list, a trip to Disney World with her grandchildren for her 70th birthday.

Sincere gratitude for the care provided by the many Doctors, nurses and support staff during the past three years; especially the compassionate staff at Jocelyn House.

Mom, rest knowing you raised us right; teaching us hard work, determination, resilience and courage. We will deeply miss your contagious laughter, your beautiful smile and forever cherish the everlasting memories we created together. Thank you for showing us a love like no other until your very last breath.

An intimate celebration of life will be held at a later date. Mom will be taken home to rest in England with her Mam, Dad and Nana.
