Gerald Peter Sanderson

November 13, 1964 – May 22, 2021

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend Gerald Peter Sanderson at the age of 56 years.

Peter will be greatly missed by his brothers, sisters, auntie Doreen and his many friends. He is survived by his son Troy (Karla) and grandson Maddox Slater; daughter Jodie Laye; siblings Danny, Marlene (Jane), Rachel (Garnet), Tommy (Darlene), Allan and Dave (Allison); sister-in-law Janice; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, especially nieces Brittany and Dayna and his auntie Doreen (Don) McPherson.

Peter was predeceased by his mother Marina Daniels in 2018; father James in 2007; brothers Clifford, Richard and Ryan; sister-in-law Gloria Sanderson.

The family would like to thank sister-in-law Janice Sanderson; Shirley Ann Sanderson; Stanley and Ruth Daniels for always taking him meals and checking up on him while he was home; auntie Doreen McPherson; the doctors and nurses at HSC, special mention to nurse Christine floor 4A, CancerCare at HSC; Seven Oaks Dialysis unit; Peguis chief and council; Peguis School Board; Peguis health Center.

In keeping with his wishes an invite only wake will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021, cremation will follow and a private celebration of his life will be held on May 28, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. which can be viewed by clicking the following link https://youtu.be/UMEhow-atrk Interment to follow in the St. Peters Old Stone Churchyard Cemetery with Doreen McPherson officiating and Dana as crossbearer.

Honorary pallbearers will be his co-workers Peguis Central School; Joe Sanderson, Buck, Cameron, Jake Sinclair; Reg Amos, Rick Sutherland, Rick McCorrister, Ruth and Stanley (Obie).
