Obituary

Rev. Kenneth John Pawluk

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ken Pawluk, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to many on December 11, 2025, at St. Boniface General Hospital surrounded by his family.

Born in Winnipeg, MB on July 4, 1938, Ken lived a life of unwavering love for his family, friends that was grounded in his Christian faith.  Lovingly remembered by his wife Sandra, his daughters Kendra (Daniel) and Lesley (Ronald).  He was a proud and devoted Grandfather to Devin (Brittney) and Dexter and Great-Grandfather to Dechlan and Malakai.  He leaves behind his sister Claudia, nieces and nephews to numerous to mention as well as his Church Family.

Raised in the North End of Winnipeg, son of Ukrainian immigrants, he was trained in Chemistry and embarked on a 32-year career teaching Math that would take him to Trinidad and Tobago for a year with a permanent stop in Selkirk, MB.  Retiring in 1993, Ken would pursue a journey in Christian ministry with the Anglican Church of Canada and took great happiness in the work that he did with his Christian family at parishes in Winnipeg Whytewold/Winnipeg Beach, Beausejour and Selkirk.

Ken’s love and joy of his life was his devoted wife of 62 years Sandra, his children, grand and great grandchildren.  He spent many happy years and time with them all on vacations, camping, Caribbean holidays as well as family visits over dinner and games.

Gifted with a kind, caring and compassionate manner he brought an ease and comfort to all those who’s lives he touched.   While he will be deeply missed, his spirit, love and kindness will live on in all those who were touched by his life Journey.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of his life will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk, Manitoba. The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed via the following link https://youtube.com/live/jYlZzl1tfgE?feature=share
