Robert William Stefanyshyn

Robert William Stefanyshyn, 83, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026.

Robert was born in Selkirk, Manitoba, to William and Katie Stefanyshyn. He worked many years at Manitoba Rolling Mills, where he was known as a hard worker and someone who took pride in providing for his family.

Robert loved the outdoors and cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a strong, kind, and gentle man whose quiet strength and caring nature touched everyone who knew him.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Myrna; his son Craig (Cara) and grandchildren Blake and Drew; his daughter Kathy (KC); his sister Bonnie (Bob); and many nieces and nephews.
Robert was predeceased by his parents, William and Katie, and his sister, Betty.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

We would like to thank all the staff at Selkirk Betel Home for their continual kindness and compassion. As well as the medical staff at St. Boniface hospital who provided care for Dad throughout his final days.

Service to be held at St. Clements Church on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humaine Society in memory of dad's best friend Dexter or to Cancer Care Manitoba.
