Roderick (Harry) Everett
April 29, 1956 – February 6, 2025
Surrounded by his loving wife and family, Roderick (Harry) passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.
Roderick was predeceased by his mother Lillian and father Tashie; brothers Tashie Jr., Delbirt Bittern and Captain George; sister Violet; niece Bonnie; nephew Lionel; sisters-in-law Darlene, Edna, Edith, Diane and Wanda; brothers-in-law Clifford, George, Bill and Oliver (Ollie).
He leaves to mourn his wife Evelyn; daughter Tina (Joel); son Derrick; grandchildren Darian, Corbin, Sevey, Brody, Kiana and Atresse; sisters Christine and Beverly; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-niece, great-great-nephews and many cousins.
Roderick (Harry) had a great work ethic, he attended the University of Winnipeg and there he obtained his Business Admin degree. He returned home to Berens River and gained the position of band manager at the age of 22 years. He went on to others jobs in Selkirk, MB, Winnipeg and Scanterbury. He then settled at South Beach Casino for 10 years and then retired.
Roderick (Harry) loved his wife to whom he was married to for 44 years. He loved to spend time with his family. He enjoyed wood working, fishing, hunting and golfing.
We would like to thank the family and friends that came to see Roderick before his passing. A heartfelt thank you goes out to his home community Berens River, health staff at Brokenhead Ojibway Nation and the Selkirk Regional Health Centre for all their amazing services they provided for Roderick (Harry).
A wake service will be held at Evelyn Everett’s home, Lot 32, Scanterbury, Mb. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Scanterbury Community Hall, Scanterbury, MB. Pallbearers are nieces and daughter Hope, Lily, Eden, Tina, Jenny and Connie.
Honorary Pallbearers are his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
