Ronald John Banash
August 1, 1968 – April 19, 2021
It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Ronald John Banash at the age of 52 years. Ron was born in Selkirk, Manitoba. He attended school in the Lord Selkirk School Division and then lived in Winnipeg for several years before moving to BC where he worked in the construction industry, taking great pride in his work. He moved back to Selkirk in 2009 and continued in construction until his health would no longer allow him to do the work he loved. Ron was a kind and sensitive person, always ready with help or advice. He loved fishing and boating, especially when he lived in BC.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Irene Banash, brother Grant, sister-in-law Rachel, and nieces Zoey and Molly in Aztec, New Mexico. Others who mourn his loss are aunt Carrie Novalsky in Toronto, aunt Sophie Ruptash, aunt Olga Hnatiuk, and many other relatives and friends. Ron was predeceased by his father John, grandparents, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cremation has taken place. A private family service is planned when COVID-19 restrictions allow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
